[RELEASE] Complete ships for all techs.

Uses Croc411's 10 naval ships as the model backbones.

This is a mod I have been making for a decent amount of time. It's not all that hard, it just requires a huge amount of time because of the sheer number of techs that let ships be upgraded in some way. This is my attempt to alleviate the annoyance of constantly creating new ship designs. They will be available for you as you research the right techs, and they will not be inferior as the GC2 starting ships were.

This mod is not complete, and I will slowly complete it as I play the game because I am just tired of going through all the techs.
What's missing?
1. For a few ships I skipped a tech or two. You'll notice what ship(s). If you fix these ships please send them to me using the correct naming convention (I'll get to that in a minute). I will add it to the mod and give you credit.
2. I did not make ships to cater to those who use completely offensive configurations. If you add these configurations, please send me them using the correct naming convention and I will add it to the mod. You will be given credit.
3. The larger ship hulls start off with better configs. This is usually fine, but depending on how you research, you may be limited to smaller hulls but have superior weaponry. If you make a config that allows a large hull with inferior weaponry, send me it with the correct naming convention and I will add it to the mod. You will be given credit.

The naming convention:
Ships are titled in the following manner:

Of course. Please fill in missing configurations if you find them (and if you want to). Submit them to me and I will give you credit and release a new version .

The basic ship designs are located in - "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Data\ShipCfg" - (but you knew that already, right?) - Does changing any of those work?

Great job!

I wanted to look at something like this for my default systems replacement mod. However with what I already decided to do, taking on the default ship system would have required a monumental effort (time wise). I am glad someone finally addressed this system. If you would be interested in integrating the projects together please contact me. My MSN is in my mod thread.

Again great effort and I'm sure the community will enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I'm having trouble Downloading the file.

It keeps closing at around 108 kbs It says there is a corrupt header.

I'd really like to try this out. Anyone else having this problem, and is there another link?

Put them in the right folder but not sure if they work.
Going to try playing humans, as the designs seem only for them.
Any chance of an update for more anytime soon?

My brother is working on some designs to. We should try and gather as many players as possible who send in their designs.

I hope for your sake that you did this with the latest 1.3 beta, because otherwise the miniturisation changes are going to completely muck up your ships...

I just DLed this, do I need the 1.3 version to run it too?

Can anyone help me with how to install this in to the game. I have the Ultimate Edition purchased off Steam, but I only seem to be able to find templates with no components and when I run a game their not present in the ship build list, thanks again for any assistance you can give us on this matter.

Based on how old this thread is, I'd guess this is for Dread Lords, as Dark Avatar wasn't even released then.  DL ships are incompatible with DA & TA, as ships are expansion-specific.

There is some futzing about you can do to have the designs show up, although I'm not aware of the procedures involved, but since the components have changed a bit since then, it'll likely result in invalid ship designs (mostly due to inadequate space).
