How to remove Ship Types

I don't want ones I built before

I've noticed that Galciv2 is very smart in that it saves your custom ship types from game to game. While many players who build intricate designs certainly appreciate this, I would like to start fresh each game. How can I delete my designs after a game? Additionally, I never use the built-in types, and you can't delete them in-game. Is there any way to remove them (besides in-game using obsolete)? I'd like it if they never showed up in the ship type list. All help appreciated! El Tea

There is a fairly simple solution to not seeing the in-game ships: just switch your shipyard lists to 'user'. As for getting rid of the ships from previous games, this is what I intend to do before my next game: go to the My Games folder in My Documents, and erase the contents of the Ships folders. There should be one folder titled Ships in the main GalCiv2 folder, and another in the Metaverse folder. Erase their contents, and that should be it. Of course, I haven't actually done it yet, so I don't know if it works.

Deleting the files in the my documents/my games/galciv2/ships and my documents/my games/galciv2/metaverse/ships will remove the ships from the game.

If you reload a game that has the ships, they will be restored.
