Subspace Annihilator and Subspace Blaster broken???

I rarely get to the point in a game where i research these weapons. But today i did and noticed something... first off, why is the damage level for the subspace blaster only 6?? it's supposedly better than disruptors III, which have a damage value of 8. What gives?

Secondly, the Subspace Annihilator doesn't seem to be present at all. It's not available in my weapons list, nor does it have an entry in an XML file that i can find. What gives?

I have the same bug. I just continued until I got DOOM ray, and was vastly rewarded.

I simply edited the xml and made the subspace annihilator myself via cut n paste, just so I'd lose that nagging feeling whenever it comes up in the tech tree. It stood to reason that it would look very similar to the blaster, just do more damage and maybe have a higher sizemod and/or base size, so that's exactly what I did. The one I'm playing with right now does 10 dmg and weighs 8 with a sizemod of 3. I bumped the blaster up to do 9 points of dmg while weighing in at 7 with a sizemod of 4. I also added a neutral only hyperwarp drive to the tech tree which simply reduces the sizemod of hyperwarp III by 1 point. I called it hyperwarp IV. The AI uses it, too!! Hehe this game is so easy to do stuff with, even an idiot like me can do what they want...within reasonable limits.

Ya, I sometimes play games where I will only have 5 planets in a huge galaxy, letting the AI's have the rest.

But, those 5 planets are all around my home star, and are all PQ20 or higher.
