How do you change the music tracks?

I know that there have been some posts about this, but I get the same two or three music tracks playing throughout the game. I didn't realize that there were more until my son fired up the game on his computer, and I heard a different, cool sounding track. I have no idea how to get that one or others to play. Is this a bug? Is there a way to play the other tracks?

I do have an MP3 and have listened to my own music (the Star Trek movie soundtracks are great background music, espeically the ones with Klingon themes, BTW). I really want to be able to hear all of the in-game music that this program has to offer though.

It's related to your alignment & status. It will change when you are struggling, militarilly strong, fighting a war, etc.

I don't know of a way to change it on purpose, but you're likely to hear a variety as you play more.

There's probably a way to get all the tracks from the game data.
