Beta V1.1-2 to an offline computer?

Is it possible to copy the latest beta version of 1.1 to an offline computer, or is that impossible since you can only get the latest build with stardock central?

I have a computer that downloaded the latest version from Stardock Central, so it there an option in SC to download the latest beta version to a laptop?

SC is an online program, so no. However, due to the fairly liberal liscense and lack of copy protections, I'm fairly sure it's fine tocopy the beta onto a disc, and putting it on the laptop.

You can copy the beta to any machine you own as long as you are a licensed user of course and only one copy is being played at a time.

You don't have to have a net connection to play it. You will probably need to follow an email procedure to get it activated.

Do you have Imntenret accsess by using your Knoopix? If yes, then download the Update with that configuration and transfer it to your Win98 Partition.

By the way,... I always wonder about all those: "Have Computer offline need Patch on a disk,..." -posts
All those people have managed to be online to post there "problem" so whats the difficulty to uset he same internetconcection to download the patch and burn it on a CD? Well I guesst here are other excuses, but somehow most of the sound strange,...
As Frogboy sayd: As long as you have the Game-Key It's legal to copy them on a cd or any other disk.

But how, exactly, do you do that? The new Beta is not in the 'Downloads' section, and when I used Stardock Central to get the beta, it just downloaded it and ran it (didn't save it on the computer anywhere, as I did a search for it after).

Do you use the "Download and Archive" option in SC, or is there some other way? (I don't want to play with it, in case it 'Archives' my game).

(I do have a second computer that, although not offline, has a slower internet connection.....the extra downloading time is time better spent playing GC2 )

Yes, you archive only CG2 (vithout multimedia, tutorial and movie) and copy the archive file to the other computer and use SDC to extract it.
