Good rating but I've never heard of this website, lets see what IGN, Gamespot, and PC Gamer have to say. Although, I'm going to guess something from an 8 to a 9 to a 11... we'll see.

well I'm a HUGE GalCiv fan, its prolly my favourite game, I push Civ4 aside to play this baby, but "polish 10?" I am looking at the forums every day for a patch and I have to say I am struggling currently to progress the game. my autosaves arent working properly (ship paths and locations) my cursor keeps disapearing and crashing my puter (not to dt total locks) the ship modify is frankly a mess (really sorry).

I am really nervous about posting this as there seems to be an almost fanatical loyalty to this wonderful indie title (those taht have seen me post over the last couple of years including testing GC1) will now I am also a zelout) but I keep seeing bug posters shot down and grumblers baracked, but this is not as polished a release as I expected, by some way.

It will be in a month or so, I am certain as this Dev team is a phenomonon, but for me at this time with my NVidea 680 card its a struggle to log in and lpay at the moment.

whats your other hardware steevo?
i haven't had any of the problems yoru describing and i have the samt video card (assuming you meant 6800 and not 680) otherwise i never heard of an nVidia 680.

ANother thing you should probably save yourself some grief and post under the bugs forum rather than hijacking someone elses thread.

I did mean a 6800 sorry, and you are right Shalkto, this is the wrong place to post on my topic - sorry to Mormegil.
I just read the review, saw the score for 'polish' and my frustrations took over - Dev's feel free to move or delete my posts in this particular thread.

My gripes stand however.

I like how the review states the graphics are poor; Some of the best graphics i've ever seen in a turn-based game. Silly reviewers.

No Steevo, your concerns are definatly valid. Unfortunatly, when developing a PC game, you're putting it out there where all machines are a little bit different (various video cards, motherboards, OS's, memory configs, ect), and where one guy can play the game without bugs (like this reviewer, apparently) while the forum fills up with players with various configs that get lots of little bugs that flew under our radar (we had the game testing on over 30 machines in the office, plus the play testers machines, so we did the best we could)

It's all the luck of the draw, apparently...but it's our job is to take your guy's bad luck and fix it in updates, so eveyone has as polished an experience as this reviewer
