Anyone running GC4SN on an ASUS TUF Gaming F15, Gaming Laptop?

Hi,

Anyone running GC4SN on an ASUS TUF Gaming F15, Gaming Laptop?

If so how is it doing on the larger maps and civ settings?

I was looking at this with an upgrade to 32 GB RAM, and a large monitor.

My current Vega 3 GPU slows to a crawl after ~100 turns on larger maps.

From what I understand any laptop upgraded to 32 gigs would boost this games performance on large maps. I would go as far as to say 32 is the new 16. That alone is a worth while upgrade.

Gaming laptops are pretty fun but there are things to consider when purchasing one. The most important thing to look at is of course the gpu. Most games sit very comfortably at a 3060 gpu but not all 3060 laptop gpus are created equal. The biggest thing to look at is its max wattage as the power makes a huge difference in gaming performance. 3060 laptop gpus max out at 140w which will give much better gaming performance then one that runs at only 90w. Looking at the asus TUF models it looks like the 3060 gpus are a lot better in the 2022 models versus the 2021 models. I would highly recommend at least the 2022 model. But of course you could go a step further and get a 4060 model and in those gpus the wattage doesn't matter as much because it is a lower power consuming gpu (which also means less heat if that is important to you)

I personally would not recommend any Nvidia gpu's at the xx50 range as I usually end up disapointed in the long term.
