Hey guys, 

downloaded facebook messenger desktop app on my PC. however, i cant get it to connect with any of my groupys!? is that a facebook thing or can you make it work? 

also need two improvements

. hot key to invoke the Rename Tab on the right click menu
. move the Close all tabs on the right click menu down a few, we accidentally click that and everything closes!!
. ability to remember multiple google chrome profiles and the names of those tabbed profiles. 

Ive been asking for this for over a year! :)

can you please give groupy a little love! :)

I believe it was changed long ago to handle that as long as the groups are resaved with the latest version.

That said I would hold off until we update the beta build on Monday to resolve a multiple monitor issue.

hey guys.. just doing a check in... any luck on the update... and a feature request.. imagine that.. 
well, a resize window button would be awesome because often times i need to resize my photoshop/illustrator/premiere tabs and my explorer tabs. so it would be incredibly awesome to be able to create a x and y resize preset that i could program and resize the windows quickly. just a thought.. but an awesome one :)

feature requests
. ability to have resize presets for windows.. so i can quickly resize groupys when on different screens. hot key assigment too?
. ability to minimize whole groupy groups? 

also, when i tab the adobe suites, they get pretty wonky when default screens are full screen. just an FYI.

You can already minimise a whole Groupy group.  Minimizing the active window in a group will minimise it.

The beta has the chrome changes.  If you need them I strongly recommend installing that version.

Just following up on a few feature requests: 

REQUEST:
Can you create a hotkey or tab that allows us to set custom screen sizes for each groupy tab?  Maybe it is a part of the toolbar or a dropdown menu. Definitely need a hotkey. 
 
REASON:
I have one primary focus monitor. It's wider than the others. But I also use another monitor which has a taller screen. Sometimes I need more vertical screen space; other times I need more horizontal screen space. So, when I move back and forth between screens, I have to fiddle with the sizing on each screen. It would be nice to set a screen size x-y preset and a screen! For instance, I have a groupy for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere... sometimes I want to be in quasi-full screen mode, and other times, I need to reduce the x - y of the screen so I can access folders and assets. Then, toggle back to the other x - y screen size. 
 
REQUEST:
There's a program, it's called Listary (https://www.listary.com/)
it has a great feature. Folder jumping.
It also has a favorite folders feature. 
for example, if you have an explorer window open and then you are in MS Word and want to save a document in the save dialog box, typically you have to navigate or cut and paste the path from the open explorer window... Listary, and this would be a great add-on for groupy; all you have to do is tap inside the Explorer window, then go to the save as dialog box, and boom. it automagically jumps to the explorer window you just tapped on. 

REASON
Listary is kind of clunky. it would be awesome to have this feature built-in and be able to tab to the tabbed Explorer folder and have every program I am working, when invoking the save function the dialog box be able to set a folder as a default save. For instance, with Photoshop and illustrator, I am working on the same client or project and everytime I want to save, it is defaulted to a previous folder or some other folder. being able to say "default groupy tab's save dialog and open dialog boxes to a specified folder would be nothing short of amazing.

REQUEST:
"Twirl Mode" - Instead of having to press the windows tab or the alt tab buttons together it would be awesome if we had the ability to press a button and I could cycle through the various groupies I have on my desktop. For instance, I have a Groupy instance for all my chrome browsers. I have a communications group with all my outlook, slack Jira, click up, asana, skype. And another for photoshop/illustrator/vegas and other design/video production Groupy. This is especially helpful when you have one screen, you can just cycle between Groupy's and not programs.
 
REQUEST
Thinking more outloud here.. but a notes section in a groupy? like another tab.. so you can take notes specific to that groupy? It would be helpful if it came up with selecting a Saved Group because you would see it and remember to do something specific to that groupy of programs.
 
BUG

 

sometime when you hover and click on the Groupy tab.. and sometimes that extends up... it sometime glitches and grabs the window behind it. No biggie. just annoying sometimes.

What about a default Group load where you save off a group, set to default then next run file explore grouper populates the tabs.

not quite sure what you are saying or how that is addressing the new requests? I do have a default File Explorer group load with all my client folders and files. But the above requests would be awesome to integrate.

how we doing on my requests? 

First thing i would LOVE is the ability to resize all the window inside of a groupy with a preset. :)

it also happens if i luanch a chrome profile, it locks into a groupy and cant get it out

any thoughts on my suggestion for rolling out? 
resize groupy windows is a must have

hey guys, were you able to re-create my issue above? i cant pull a chrome tab out of a group! keeps snapping back into the group. no matter what i do.. unless, i ungroup all, then i have to then regroup. frustrating. 

thoughts?

Do you have Chrome set to Auto Group? If you do, you can't pull Groupy2 tabs out of the group. I think they changed the way Auto Group works in the latest update.

hey guys.. you are not responding.. but I am curious if you are working on any updates on groupy or any features? I have another one for a groupy feature, the ability to "dock" groupys either on the left or right side of the screen.. or on object dock? think about how you built your old tiles software.. so each grouped item would stack neatly on either side of the screen so when you want to get rid of that groupy temporarily to free up screen space, they are docked.. then you can click on any one of the docked items adn boom, that groupy pops back into place. 

anyway.. here to help move progress forward! :)

window resizer.. i love it but it would be so much more efficient with groupy tabs.
