Question on patches/updating

Hi... new user to Offworld Trading and had a couple of questions.

I see there are patches released from time to time. What is the way that I can apply those patches to my game? I see a newer version posted than what I am running.. so just curious how I could get my game updated to the latest build. FYI.. I bought my copy from the Epic game store.

and a related question.. is the game actually different depending on where I bought the game? Different game stores will actually have different versions of the game? Mohawk/Stardock has to actually create specific builds for each game store? I'm new to the buying games online system... so curious how that works.

Epic supports automatic updates. You don't need to do anything. Though often we run opt-in patches on Steam. The versions should have parity.
