What kind of games?

I was surprised to find out about Video Game Machine, this really came out of nowhere, as far i am concerned. I believe it is a great idea and really should cater to the kind of sand-boxey loving gamers, who want not only to play, but create something. I actually suggested something like this myself in the past, although slightly different....

which leads to a question, what kind of game genres are you supposed to be able to create? From the screenshots and description it seems to be all about platformers, action games, perhaps with RPG aspects...which is indeed fine, but given the fact StarDock is a company known for strategy games, i was hoping that would be genre supported as well. Which might be the case, but from the available info it does not seem to be that way. Personally i would be looking forward toward some kind of RTS creator app, based on Ashes - now that would have been awesome.

Hey Timmaigh!

There have been several requests for some sort of Strategy genre that people could create with, so it's certainly on our radar, but I have to be careful about promising anything at this stage ;) What I CAN promise is that the team and I will be thinking about it, and hopfully more ideas come in from the community once they get to play Alpha 1!

Thank you for your response. I wish you luck with this endeavour, hopefully it will turn out to be success.

I would be willing to become a founder and support this, even if strategy genre is currently "just on radar", but it would be nice to have some kind of "gameplay" video or something like that available to general public to get at least basic idea, how things are supposed to work. 

EDIT: Seeing only now its 10 USD to get early access, which i guess is acceptable even without any further info...still would not mind to get some :-)

We're collecting content daily for a trailer/overview video, so it's on our to-do list. Unfortunatly it's a long to-do list, but we'll be posting someting ASAP ;)
