Two Strange Things I Have Experienced in the Game

Before I get to the strange things I need to say that I'm enjoying this most of the time.  The main reason I don't enjoy it is because I make mistakes and the enemy overwhelms my defenses and destroys my colony.  
Of course, I just play that mission again (and again and again) until I finally win it.  Then I like the game a lot more.  

Here are the two strange things.

I put this one on Discord yesterday, but here it is again.
I won and lost Mission VI at the same time.  My colony was destroyed at the same time as the last enemy was destroyed.  I got credit for doing both of the requirements which was followed by the defeat screen, then I was able to go to the next mission.  I wish I had recorded it.  I don't know if it matters, but I had slowed the gameplay by one click on the minus sign.

I just finished a try at Mission IX.  Near the end I was planning on using the EMP to stun a last wave of enemy in the area where I had good defenses.  While I was making final adjustments with the EMP target indicator, an enemy or two that I didn't realize were at my colony finished destroying the colony.  I got the defeat screen then I couldn't do anything to interact with the game.  I couldn't get out of the defeat screen.  I used Alt-Tab to get to Steam or the Task Manger, which were also running.  The game screen went totally white, but I stayed in it.  Nothing I tried, which was a lot, allowed me to get out of the white game screen.  I finally used Ctrl-Alt-Del and logged out.  That shut down the game, Steam and Task Manager and took me to the login screen.  Everything worked fine after that, including the game.
