What Siege is...and what it isn't...
If you saw the movie, Matrix Revolutions, you could make the case that the battle for Zion was a movie version of tower defense.
Siege of Centauri, in some respects, is that. You are dealing with massive armies of machines. And frankly, you are the only hope for the colonists.
So what is Siege? It's in the tower defense genre to be sure but with a few twists:
- You don't get resources from killing enemies unless you place a special tower to scavenge the debris.
- You do get resources from metal deposits and extractors (similar to Ashes). So you have something to protect before they get to your base.
- Day and night matter. There are cases where vision matters because you can't see the enemy until you actually place light sources to illuminate the way for your guns (unless they have radar guidance which most don't).
What we need from you guys:
- Ideas. Ideas. Ideas. This game is 67% classic tower defense and 33% strategy. This is a blend that really hasn't been done before.
- Patience. We are experimenting with a lot of ideas. Some of which are half-baked. The whole point of the Founder's program is to ensure design mistakes we make are corrected before the general public sees it.
- Criticism. Similar to ideas, these will be areas where we are doing something but it isn't fun. For example, we debate internally about placement of towers. How many placements? How flexible? A lot of ideas seem good on paper.

We are super-excited to talk to you guys!
