It appears the latest Windows 10 Insider build may have a bug which could cause Explorer to crash in a loop if a WB skin is applied.

We are investigating but for now we must recommend you disable WindowBlinds before updating your Insider builds and do not enable WB until we have addressed this.

EDIT: This was addressed some time ago and as long as you are on WB 10.57 or above you should be fine.

This is a Windowblind change in SKS. I have found nothing in Windowblinds to change this.

Windows 7 using small icons. To make the taskbar look fine using small icons you need to open the skin in Skinstudio. Go to Edit startmenu and taskbar and open it. Go to Edit horizontal taskbars. Go down to Taskbar buttons and click on "buttons". Change the "Top" number to say 10 and click apply. Note the number may not be 10. It may be 8 or 12 or whatever. Just click apply after you change the number and look at the taskbar.

On Windows 10, I see no change and looks fine here.



  Neil, it's not the skin.  It's a Windows 10 thing.  The icons do not change size just the taskbar on my Dell XPS 8910. Thank you, Neil, for all you do.

Actually it was a WB thing.  For small icon mode we didn't have enough taskbar padding so the taskbar buttons end up smaller than planned.  This is addressed in WB 10.59 and up.

Same inssue, Win 10 Pro, latest windowblinds release I downloaded today. Immediately after running it fors 1st time post install I get a black screen. Nothing could be done.

So, hard reset: login screen appears normal, but immed. after login in, the same black window, but this time Win returns to the login screen, tried this 3 times.

Finally had to find out how to boot in safe mode, succeeded, and succeeded to de-install.

Fatal practice on Stardock's side if yo ask me!

Your issue is unlikely to be the same issue assuming you do indeed have the very latest version of WindowBlinds.

WB 10.6 and higher will work just fine with the latest Windows 10 releases.

wb 10.62 (latest as of today) and W10 insider build 16199 ( I had to upgrade because of W10 problem with earlier build).

WB works more or less as it should but for example task bar is (partly, mostly) transparent. This happens on all skins. It looks like the right part of the bar is skinned (or maybe it's some new W10 internal styling?) Anyway the problem does not prevent WB usage, just makes it not as visually pleasing as it could.

It is the same issue here as well and I also have a Dell 8910.  On my desktop, medium icons are the size of the old large icons and small icons are the size of the old medium icons.  Others have reported this issue as well so I do not think it is a Dell issue.
