Planet won't build?

Hi guys

I got one planet that mysteriously decided to stop building.... I wonder if i accidentally clicked on something, what kind of things should i look out for?

I have never touched the production balance thingy in the government tab.

All other planets produce normally.

The other interesting thing is that it reports the number of turns to complete... its quite advanced planet so many things only take 1 or 2 turns,,,,, i was so busy rush buying that i honestly never noticed its little secret until i wanted it to complete a farm while i rush buy science labs... So it was reporting only one turn to complete, but the farm never got built,,, not in one turn not in ten turns! so of course then i noticed something was up?

I tried moving different things to the top of the queue, nope, not building,,,, refuses,,, strange?

If the planet is sponsoring a shipyard, the issue could be that you've somehow accidentally set most or all of the manufacturing output to military (most would lead to very slow build rates on the planet, all would lead to no construction on planet). The only other thing that I can think of that could cause this is if the planetary production has been allocated in such a way that no production is dedicated to manufacturing.

If your treasury has ever gone negative, the computer would have messed around with your production allocation settings (specifically, it sets all planets to 100% savings) for you to generate a lot of money quickly; it's possible that the planet's allocation might not have been set back to 'normal' afterwards for some reason, though I think the settings are currently supposed to revert to the state they were in prior to the computer deciding that your treasury needed to be given a cash infusion, so if that happened you might report it as a bug.

If your global settings are set in such a way that manufacturing output is relatively low and you caused your planet to 'focus' production into a single area, that could also shut off manufacturing on the planet.

If none of these appears to be the case, I'd consider filing a bug report with an attached save and specify which planet has the issue.

I had this problem as well but it was with 3 planets, all sponsoring the same shipyard. I removed all sponsors and moved the yard, then re-added the sponsers. This restored the production ques to working order.

Thanks for the replies....

I will try that shipyard trick, thanks.

i don't think there is much point in reporting a bug because it is an older saved game from before the recent updates? Besides, I also have an upgrading bug going in this game as well.... that is, ships never complete an upgrade unless the game is reloaded.

They do visually seem to complete the upgrade.... the upgrading icon mark goes away, the defense and attack ratings are reported... only when you go into combat, they refuse to shoot, then when you look closely at the ship status it says 'upgrading' and that status will never change unlit you reload the game.

It has started to become quite a problem in this later stage of the game.... because now i have too much money, so upgrading is viable, but regularly reloading an advanced game is frustrating.
