Ethical standards of the game forum. Spam Thread

I understand that it is inappropriate to annoy another member - abusive words, or negative etc. But what about your programming code?

i wanted to clarify, as it appears there is an ethical standard squad in your forums attacks again.

So, if I say 'This feature in AOTS annoys me', is considered against forum rules? Will I get an angry emoji on screen during gameplay>? =(

I could also say, ' I love this game, it's sexy', does that mean that I am making inappropriate advances on your forum?

Please clarify - thanks - before the ethically, morally right zealots arrive yet again -

It is just a game =) say as you will.. honest opinions are always welcome I say - I personally really appreciate people being honest without the ethical standards people coming along..

i was forced to remove the word 'annoying'. Dammit @@ That is annoying =)

Hey Molokoww,

I believe that is one of the purposes of moderators on a forum: to determine the context of threads and posts and let the appropriate action be taken if necessary. Hopefully as just as possible.

Whatever you do or say, there will be critics. Very simply, there are two types of criticism that you should be aware of, negative and positive. How one handles such criticism says a lot about ones character.

Now objectively looking over the thread link you posted, I can see where both yourself and the other participants in the thread are coming from. True it could've been handled differently with less forceful words by other posters, but they have a valid point, and I'm sure (optimist that I am) that your intentions were pure and you didn't mean for your words to be taken with great offense that it had.

You are definitely very active in this forum, and hopefully that is due to your enthusiasm, and I hope that your enthusiasm doesn't wane. However, there is a certain understanding that needs to be addressed about this forum and the game. This game is in the alpha/pre-beta stage. That means that this game is still a skeleton with the muscles, veins, skin etc to be added on. The developers are adding it on gradually, and we are here to make sure they don't miss any feature or even add something they didn't even think off.

However, the way we ask is more important than what we are asking for. So a little bit of manners goes a long way and will definitely make your opinion valued instead of disregarded. Being honest doesn't mean you need to be direct and forceful, which can often be perceived as rude, but you can also be gentle and honest as well, such as what Eviator suggested:

Quoting eviator, reply 1

A better way to say this is: "Developers would you please consider adding the ability for me to queue units at all selected factories? Currently it only queues units for the one selected."

Don't get me wrong, saying you are annoyed or any other emotion is fine because it adds emphasis on your point. However, don't overdo it. Don't take what people say personally however, and if people do criticise you, try your best to learn from it and don't jump on the defensive. If you know it doesn't make sense, then ignore them.

Hopefully that helps. I know what I have said seems a tad bit overdone, but it is important nonetheless.

The problem was you sounded like a spoiled cry baby and have a history of spamming stuff which can form a basis to how people start reading your stuff. And now this post is a classic tantrum, going to the extreme of a point of view thinking it is smart or makes a good point. Which it is neither.

Really dude? I'm trying to defuse the situation and you reply with such vehemence Ticktoc. Come on man, be a bit more chilled.

You are probably right, it is just this guy spams everywhere on the Steam forums and his attitude is consistently immature across most of his posts and it is starting to irritate me. But it is not worth it and I will take a step back. Apologies.

Thanks pelinth.

you also can't delete your thread?

I do go  back and delete me threads tictic. I restart a thread when people acuse me of spamming:-D

Or when the ethic squads arrive

All good. I will listen the pelinth... no more spamming from this point forward....

And, I only spammed a lot about NVIDIA and AMD. Because it was BS as I bought a NVID card, and lost $100.. I plugged it in thinking that it would work with Ashes and all it did was glitch and backwards FPS...  Man, I felt mislead by the fact that this game points to a NVIDIA 970 being optimal.. It is not true regardless that it is in beta.. that card.. frig is a DX11 card.

Thank god I returned it and got an AMD>

So hate me for spamming that fact, and trying to work it out !!!

All good, I am going to take home what Pelinth says, and not cry like NVIDIA did.

but personally, let them ban me. If they feel that I need to follow some moral rule. People can always ignore my threads =)
