Game crashing constantly

I absolutelly adore this game, but it crashes all the time.

I tried signing up for the beta to see if it helped, it did, but not much.

I have over 630 hours of played time on the game so far, and in this time I believe it crashed over 100 times.

I don't think it's related to my computer hardware, here is my setup:

GTX 690

32GB ram

I7 4770k

I am running it on 2560x1080 , on UHD screen.

The crashed don't even have a common determinant anymore, it just crashed when I destroyed a building to build something else on the plot, before that it crashed when I tried to trade on the diplomatic options, before that it crashed when I ended turn, before that it crashed when I saved a ship design, and so on.

Is there anything that I can do about this in order for it to stop happening? the constant crashed are really frustrating, seriously, they take all the fun of playing the game

Game crashed again, when I destroyed a building

I've had problems too...but the game doesn't just crash, it completely restarts my computer.  Even more curious, after my computer restarts my wireless keyboard doesn't work until after windows boots back up (I get the option of starting in safe mode or regular but have to wait the 30 second countdown before it starts up).

I've got a new rig that I built myself 2-3 months ago...high end stuff.  Computer has never crashed, restarted, or had any problems whatsoever except for when I play GalCiv.

As with walhart, there doesn't seem to be a common denominator...could be while I'm moving a ship, in between turns, starting a turn, clicking on a planet...

I can provide my hardware if that helps.

Walhart,

We also released a test optin of 1.10 today which fixes are most common issues, you can find it here: https://forums.galciv3.com/467453/page/2/#3566133

Please let us know if that resolves your issues. If you are still having them we would love to work with you to get your game working.

I've had a few crashes, all but one were when I was trying to do more than one thing at a time. For instance, I get a CTD when I try to move a fleet to attack while another is moving to attack if I do it several times quickly.  Doesn't matter if it's to attack another fleet or a planet.

I've learned to slow myself down, but it's a tad frustrating waiting on the movements and what appears to be an artificial long delay when resolving "quick" battles.

Perhaps, with your faster computer, the timers are getting in your way as well.

<edit> SSD here. Does that make a difference? </edit>

Well I run with my game install in my RAM Drive, and I've also had the install on and SSD. and my external HDD. What I notice is when it was installed on the HDD the apparent crashing due to interface lag is much more severe. I also feel the program is much snappier in the RAM drive on version 1.02 than at 1.0. Even on the SSD it feels better. It is slow as molasses though. I really with the AI was doing more while you take your turn and I wish the movement was simultaneous for the AI I mean I know the AI should get plenty of CPU time to play competitive but I feel like I very much waiting on the AI a lot. Maybe my attention span for the turn delay is much lower than when I was in my teens but it feels like I'm playing MOO on my 486SX with turbo turned off and only with 8mhz instead of FX-8350 8 cores running at 4.6 GHZ. Oh yeah the game doesn't appear to be taking advantage of my cpu beyond 4 cores.

Still lots of optimization to be done here feels like.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers walhart and doing a reinstall?

yes, update graphics, reinstalled, opted in and out of beta, reinstalled again, still crashing constantly, like 5, 6 times a day

Did you play the beta versions? I used to have crashes then. After a new and clean installation of the game after release and didn't have any crash.

Another crash, again when destroying a bulding

Crash again when destroying a building, this seems to be the crash that happens the most, I'm using a custom race with Drengin tech tree on a insane size map
