Steam Monster Summer Sale

Steam's Monster Summer Sale is going on right now. They have a mini-game attached to the sale this time. The better your team does, the more sales you unlock.

Some good prices going on right now. Keep an eye on a title you might want for a while too as more things go on sale.

That happened to me when I tried to join a friend in that thing once too. It worked again when I just hit play. After that though it makes a bot of you that keeps playing when you're not earning gold. Just pop on it every day for the sale and spend the gold on upgrades for the thing and it'll help unlock more deals on it's own. I think the majority of the things that play the sale unlock game are bots and that's why it failed to join. Unless the person is actively clicking there's probably no one there to join. All it is is a click fest anyway, fast way to wear out/break a mouse lol.

Not a bad day if you're into Fantasy 4X games.

Dominions 4 Thrones of Ascension: -75% (Next 11 hours)

Warlock 2 The Exiled: -75%

Eador Masters of the Broken World: -80%

and then there's some other big Strategy titles at great prices:

Civilization V: -75% (Next 11 hours)

Crusader Kings II: -80% (Next 11 hours)

Europa Universalis III: -75%

Probably enough to keep you playing for a few years.

I already have all but CK II :) Strategy gamer me?? A bit :)

Man... :( I've been wanting to pick up Dom 4 Forever now!! I spent what little bit of extra cash I had for this month paying off Arkham Knight and putting down $20 on Fallout 4 at Gamestop last night. I'm literally counting change for anything else extra this month. If I would have known Dom 4 was going down a little over 8 bucks I would have only put down $10 on Fallout 4 since I still have quite a while to worry about paying that off.

You know bro, if your Steam friends (hint hint) could actually See what games are on your list we might be able to do some multiplayer on something sometime. :P

What in Dom4 is significantly better than Dom3?

I really wanted to pick up dom4 too, but my recollection of when it came out was that it was still pretty borked as far as the micro elements went.

I'm vary familiar with Illwinter and Dom3.

The reason I never bothered with Dom4 was because the insane amount of micro required to play later into games did not seem to be addressed.  It's a great game though, and a great company, but to play it seriously simply requires too much micro for me to enjoy.  So I believe the user reviews, and I can look at change logs, but none of that really tells me if it still takes an hour to run your turns when you reach the 20s or 30s.  Scripting battles, managing recruitment, handling spells, forging, ...

There's a lot to love, but it's just too difficult to manage on bigger maps and longer games.

They introduced the objective captures to reduce the mop-up phase. And they added the new shrines that gave your faction new race-wide advantages which I think was cool (I think they activated when you blessed, was a while since I played). I also liked the god/disciple team-ups you could make to create team warfare. Other than that I don't remember much being different.

Actually now that I think about it I think they added so you can set a territory to buy units every turn now. And I'm pretty sure there was a new option to re-cast a spell every turn on a zone as well.

I feel the same way.  I played a few games of Dom3, (several with stardockians) and found the micro beyond my willingness levels.  Awesome game...

I will have a look tonight and see if I manage to gift Dom 4 to you. Maybe have a look at my Steam settings to show my game list too. I have only two steam friends as I usually play SP only. A Dom 4 multi could be great fun though.

No No, you don't have to do that brother. I appreciate the thought tough. I've went this long without it, and I do have Dom 3 (just not on Steam). Don't waste your money my friend. You need yours just as bad as I need mine.

You're a good friend though, brother. Thanks for the thought. :)

I have all kinds of Steam cards and stuff and card expansion packs. I know some people sell them on Steam and make a good bit at it. If there's anything you need or want just let me know.

You got it man :) Give me a day to learn this one, then whenever you're ready it's on!!! Don't think I'll go easy on you just because you got me the game ;)

hehe you'll probably stomp my azz at it anyway lol. I put about 100 hours into Dom 3 and I think I lost at least %50 of the games I played.

I probably got 20 hours of Dom 3 and 50 of Dom 4. I guess I have to be Vanaheim or something related to my Norwegian origin :)

AoW III is a pretty cool game. Get it on sale though or cheaper on another site all together that sells Steam Keys (though make sure it's a legit site). My fault in it isn't with the game its-self, just the way it was handled and what they said they'd do compared to what they did. The game its-self is fine though. Those d-bags just don't deserve the money for it.
