Can't manually save anymore

Every time I try to save, the game creates a file ~[name I typed for the save] that I can't load (the game says it is incompatible with this version of the game).

 

Update:

Apparently, when I delete the ~file via the Delete button in the 'Save Game' Menu, it turns into a regular save? Haven't tried to load one of these yet though, so I don't know whether they work or not.

 

P.S.: I can't reply on these forums anymore, since I have somehow managed to reach a limit for new accounts? Not sure how that one works, so I will just send private messages.

And I was starting to think, I was the only one with this strange problem!

 

Have the same problem, already send a ticket in for it...

 

I save the game twice...first time it automatically comes with the ~sign in front, when I manually delete that and save again the savegame isn't corrupt and can be loaded

How long are you waiting after the initial save before bringing up the load screen and seeing the ~'d file?

I'm pretty sure that the ~Filename is a temp file created during the save process, and is converted to the normal Filename when the save is complete.
