Wow, town beats dragon

So I just had the weirdest thing happen.  I built a town pretty close to a dragon.  It had one of those super life shrine thingys.  I thought I could snake away enough to keep the town from expanding over the dragon until I was tough enough to defeat it. 

I was wrong.  My town was at level 2 and the dragon was set loose.  Imagine my surprise when the dragon dropped dead.  I have never seen that before.  I didn't even try to defend it because I would have gotten crushed!

Has anybody else seen something like that?

Yeah, if your troops are expendable, auto complete is easier. No fears and no Dragon Breaths crushing several stacks at once. Add high attack hammers from militia and you can see that happening when you fight a dragon.
