Does anyone here remember hearing of a discount?

I know that the people who bought Elemental: War of Magic before 10/2010 (I believe that is the date) would be eligible to get FE and another game for free, which is a very generous offer.

However, I do seem to recall that those who bought it after 10/2010 would be offered a percentage off of FE. Does anyone else recall this? 

I purchased WoM in early to mid 2011 and I have registered it on what is now GameStop (I don't recall if I registered it before or after Impulse was sold to GS). I emailed SD support after buying FE on Steam when it was first released, but they have not responded (it has been more than a few months).


I paid the full price for FE when it first came out on Steam and I plan on getting LH as well. I don't have a problem paying for both, but I am certain that there was a moderate discount offered for those who bought WOM after 10/2010.

Nope no discounts for futher expansions of Elemental AFTER FE. There were plenty of discounts for War of Magic AND FE after they came out and still are but the discounting days are over unless you bought it BEFORE 2011. ;) Those that did will get LH for FREEEEEEEE....everyone else has to PAY through the nose. ;)

Edit: Oh and we ALSO get to BETA test it before everyone else too. ;)

OK...I did some research. I am still not sure of what the window is, but I believe the offer was that if you bought it after 10/2010 but before another date (I am still trying to find that second date), you should be eligible for $10 off FE. I registered WoM with Impulse/GS in 2011 before FE was released, but I was never offered $10 off FE (purchased full price on Steam and no response from SD Cust Support).

 

Can a SD employee please clarify?

From what I remember, the discount was for people who bought E:WoM in 2011. However, you only get the discount if you buy FE from Stardock directly, not through Steam.

(I don't mind paying the $20; it's just that I wish that the protocol for obtaining the $10 discount for FE had been more explicit. I probably would have still bought it from Steam, in any case).

how hard would it be to be able to get maps as scenarios for future games FROM SAVEGAME!

I had some perfect maps randomly generated in a few games....
