Things that make no sense!

1. When an enemy army is about to attack your city/town you can see how strong they are (attack rating) but, there is no way to see how strong a players forces in town are, their combined attack rating isn't shown anywhere!!

2. You can get trapped on an isolated peninsula, blocked(AI Player towns, strong, creature army, etc.) from the rest of the land mass and there is no way to move your armies over water. This happens a lot on small/medium random maps. The game still needs some way to move over water, boats, portals, bridges, underground passages etc!!!

It does too show power rating for units in a town.

There is also a way to get out of blocked situations. There is a raise land spell which lets you raise land and then you can cross. There is a lower land spell too.

Only if you own that territory or it is unowned. If the AI owns the area you are stuck unless one of your champions can cast teleport back to your terrain.

That is true, but if you get blocked by some monster or something, just attack it, if you die you respawn at your town (if sovereign or champion)

Assuming you're not blocked by AI territory since they possess the omnipotence to sense your presence in their lands immediately and expel you.

I suppose that could push the player into having to choose between war, and the subsequent dogpile courtesy of warmongering AI logic, or brokering a treaty to allow you into their lands.

Though I still dislike how AI more or less have closed borders by default while the player does not unless they micromanage it. Especially considering the AI's tendency to just keep trying to enter your lands every bloody turn.

Why even have water on maps, if there is way to move across or around it? It's just too easy to get blocked early on small and medium maps.

As of now, the only way around this, is to re-start a new game!
