Avatar image problems tonight

I first noticed there were some issues tonight with Avatars when Frogboy's avatar was loading as the UFO/alien guy. When I tried to change my avatar to a different picture file, I got the following error:

Upload Error:

The image could not be removed. Please try again later

Is there something going on with Avatar pictures?

Hopefully avatars should be loading again.

What page were you using to change your avatar when you got the error?

Thanks for looking at this, Orcnbeans. Well, the images load now (before they would time out), but I still can't change it. I'm visiting:

https://forums.stardock.com/account/images

I've tried this through both the Elemental and regular Stardock forums and get the same error as before. If I remove my avatar, I get the error stated before "The image could not be removed. Please try again later". If I click on "upload file" and select my file, it just says "please upload a new image" instead of displaying the one I tried uploading.

Any suggestions?

I saw that sometime last night too.  Seemed to clear itself up after a while, though.  I just figured it was my computer since it's been screwing with my head lately...

On a more serious note, the avatar upload still doesn't work for me.

It's already been looked at.
If you're still having this sort of 'issue', log out, nuke your browser cache and log in again.

Tried that. Didn't work. Tried a different browser, didn't work.

Snowman, do you work for Stardock? I don't see the Stardock banner on your forum name, but it sounds like you do.

I can't test it right now, but sounds like it's not fixed yet. I appreciate your investigation on this!

My only problem concerning Avatars was at the GUIC. The problem here is to go to ones personal "Wincustomize page" that you should get to by clicking the link in the personal page.... It takes you "Home" as it is now o_O :sun:

It is not fixed. I have tried here and at JoeUser and after the upload I get the error message "Sorry we can't find this image" #:( (logged out, cleared cache and cookies, logged in)

No, I am not (directly) a Stardock employee (Just a 'casual' user and veteran moderator) but I am in close contact with several of them on a daily basis.
This issue was mentioned on Monday, and was appearantly checked and subsequently fixed. Looks like the issue has reappeared (or continued), but I'm sure the spanner guys (web devs) will look at it again asap.
(Avatars are not a vital part of the site's function, so it's not a high priority issue)
