Anyone working on any interesting builds?

One of the things I enjoy doing is trying to come up with new, optimal builds based on a certain play style.  Just curious if anyone else out there is working on one.

The current build I'm working on is a structural transfer rook as a hard counter to a crimson vial rook.

1st  - general play style differences.  If there is another rook on the opposing team (that likely went vial), getting out and 1v1ing him early isn't really the goal.  With staff, you can lay down farms or hammer faster than him, but he'll have access to more quick hp than you.  Anyway, I've found that I'm typically actually buying nothing at the start with the build.  I'll generally run out to mid or to HP immediately to try to get some quick xp from a flag change.  Depending on how much money I have at this point (sometimes there is that 3v3 or whatever battle at mid that takes a little more time), I'll either head to a lane for a creep wave or just head back to base immediately to get either vlemish or plenor/tp.  All that matters is how much money I have.  So, if there is a rook on the other team.  Odds are he probably has 1 level on me (as I'll be level 2 at best at this point), but I'll have substantially more mana (but lower access to hp).  So, I'll typically get struct transfer at level 2.  Level 1 will either be an early hammer slam or tower 1.  At 3 I will get whatever I didn't pick up between hammer/tower.  At 4, I get struct transfer 2/hammer 2/tower 2.  I completely hate having to spec another point struct transfer, but it seems to be the sweet spot for the build (otherwise you might have to retreat before pushing the other rook or whatever off the hp flag).

Anyway, the build is still a work in progress, but you can generally hold early and mid very well (and enough to counter a vial rook at least).  Late game, struct transfer usually is a joke as there will be too many ints to make it viable in most games.  The downside to this build is that you'll probably find you want trebs as quick as possible... and as you can see, I haven't mentioned getting the archer addon at this point.  I generally try to make sure I have boulder at level 5, but sometimes I hold off until level 6.

SM:

Tac > Dev > Sniper > Sniper > Dev > T2 > PDev > Dev > Sniper > Sniper > Librarian > T3 > Terminators

Freaking hilarious build. I should be ashamed for going triple-Devs and quad-snipers. But it worked :D

EoM UB- Basically a road block build

You are playing like a bully Blood + 1 helm build, which is to try and make them run before you use up too much mana to control flags and lanes, while making them miss XP/Gold from creep waves.

The advantage is you can be spitting for free early on when uncontested on towers to stay in the lane, or you will have another spit grasp combo coming up when everyone else is out of mana.

At some point, the builds that take blood will need to buy a bigger helm, and you'll have a window of opportunity to bully them as well. Your life is always going higher, while other builds will have a pause in life increase while the buy mana items.

Basic strategy

EoM -> Grasp -> Spit -> Activate Ooze

Mix the above order up a bit, or spit once inawhile without EoM to be unpredictable in order to prevent an interrupt or wasted EoM

Buy banded at the start and save for Unbreakable

Than buy whatver, but I usually go

Banded
Unbreakable
Nimoth
Hauberk
Bloodstone ring

That is +2500 life over base

The choice after is usually one or the other
Sell Bloodstone ring to pay for Groffling Plate (Life + Armor)
or
Sell Banded for Narmoth's Ring (higher life + 11% life steal)

Don't try this in a laggy game, you need responsive skills and EoM to get this off properly.

End of quote

Try this between 2 towers (maybe at goldflag on cataract) or if opponent stands at one tower:

build a tower --> structure transfer --> quick orb of defiance
(only working when rook starts structure transfer, look at head of rook going down).

within the 5 sec of orb you will get the full heal of 10 sec structure transfer. after orb transfer ends.

then build new tower and go back

i tested it. Thanks for sharing!

My results are:

cons

-when the game is lagging it's very hard to time it right. I found myself a lot of times interrupting the transfer because of the lag delay:(

-If the enemy is smart he will stun you even though you're in orb.

-better in 1v1 situations or  2v2s because you take less overall damage and you can risk more.

pros

-to make real use of it i save really early for orb and combine it with the speed increase item that temporarily increases your speed.

So you can go wild and kill towers but still get away if 1-2 port on you. If you pick sigil or tp depends on how confident you are with your judgement to not die, or if your teammates need a lot of help with teleports.

-i used the favor blood since you have transfer for heal. This is also very strong in early pushing a lane with a general on your team.

-it works great against opponents who have no stuns

(bad eng) If to choose a Blade of  Serpent (for Rook) that it is possible to restore together with health mana. It is not necessary to buy 2 caps, we use a Blade then a Boulder Roll and a Transfer. 1 lvl Transfer cost 265 mana - restore 800 hp & 600 mana. Probably it makes sense vs Rook.

Yeah - I haven't bothered with a bots rook in some time.  Mayhaps I'll give that a go again.  Does the boulder roll itself regen mana for each creep hit?  If so, that's pretty useful after lv5.

Also Seraphim Queen

General build concept
-Shield is important so max it early
-Base life is lower by not taking blood, so go 1 helm build

Leaving us with lower mana
-So... drop spike wave.

Also, when you are able, drop sigils in favor of Orb of Defiance. Basically being able to bridge your shield / mulch skill refreshes by injecting a seraphim / defiance regen inbetween outweighs the 2500ish life you will get from a sigil.

1) Shamblers I
2) Shield I
3) Spike I
4) Shield II
5) Spike II
6) Save
7) Shield III + Spike III
8) Mulch I
9) Save
10) Shield IV Spike IV
11) Mulch II
12) Morale I
13) Morale II
14) Save
15) Goddess + Mulch III
16) Get Morale

Pros: Really tough to kill late game when QoT's offensive power is getting poor.. so great way to run someone out of mana trying to kill you. :)
eg: Shield -> Mulch -> Shield + Wings -> Defiance (right before shield buckles) -> Mulch -> Shield (while this is happening you are getting monk heals) It is pretty frustrating.

Cons: You need to drop a helm, QoT has low base life so you really need to get this higher, even with Seraphim regen. That means low mana, so you need to drop Spike Wave.

This also means you won't be able to pick up Fell-Darkur if you get on a roll late game.

Variation: You can add Shamblers II & III for more firepower eg: Vs Tower Rook
+Damage at each Shambler level, then consider Spike multiplier
1) 30x2 = 60 = 30 DPS
2) 35x2 = 70 = 35 DPS
3) 40x4 = 160 = 80 DPS

To do this you can delay mulch and shield IV until after 10
