Reply to the Impulse debate

Hope this turns up in the right place...

 

Impulse doesn't really bother me because Galciv2 is such a good game, but other posters have a point.

 

I like the Total War games too, but I recently refrained from buying the Napoleon version because the box stated (in very small writing) that you HAD to have Steam to play it.  I don't want to be forced into geting something I don't want just to play a game.  If all companies did this then it'll turn off gamers like myself who don't always have an internet connection (I play Galciv2 on a laptop with a wifi connection and only log-on now and agin to check for updates).

Well, maybe you'll check back.

 

With all my Steam games, I need Steam to register them, but I don't need an active internet connection

to play them.  I play on airplanes, for instance, or in airports where I'm unwilling to pay $15/day for a

connection.
