The REAL Chatroom

The REAL Chatroom

Or alternative Chatroom

Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!  ;P

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom *_*

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome! :)

Why do some people get off on the fact that women (especially pretty women) fart? Its natural.

It's just so bizarre.... burps are bad enuf, but a "fart". I think it's kinda rude and kinda funny.

But, nothing to try at home. hehe  or an elevator.

Oh an elevator is the best place to that. }:)

Nice day today. After all that wind, dust, and just enough rain to RUIN everyone's cars yesterday, today was slightly breezed and cool. B)

Well today is going to be a whopping 2c.  Not much for spring sighting actually. We still have snow banks hiding neighbours. I cannot wait.

Unlike my dentist appointment on Thursday. aaaaahhhh!   I hates going to the dentist!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto. Especially with all the teeth work I need. I hate the numbness.

Yeah, kinda makes working on a strawberry shake a private moment. hehe  I have to get a crown I believe it is. Ugh

Man, I have my snow mountains and you have your walls of stampeding dust. I don't think there is anywhere on earth, other than Los Angelos, hehe, to escape mother nature anymore.

Oh, we Angelinos had the wind before Ryat and his Phoenixites(?).  Still windy here...  And 80F.  Nothing like a hot April wind storm to remind you that there's no such thing as winter.  ;P

I had three in a row (lower right molars) crowned.

Angelinos, haha I like that.  I thought that was the sunniest destination on earth. Bikini and retirement destination of the elite.   Can't go anywhere I guess.  The weather is getting more and more extreme. It is over here anywho.........................

And today at 3:00 for a clean up then the neeedles and such..... 8C   X|

Angelinos is the proper term for referring to or about people from Los Angeles.

Sunniest sure, except for when it isn't, like from about now until late August.  That can be said for much of coastal southern California, but the place to go for the most pleasant weather year round is actually San Diego, our little cousin to the south, or further inland like Pasadena.  Still only minutes from LA, but you're away from the coastline and it's influences.

We have this thing called coastal eddies where wind generated by the difference in temperatures over water and over land, combined with some fluid dynamics of friction generated by wind hitting earth as opposed to sliding across the ocean water (real technical stuff that most people who don't live here would have no reason to bother knowing about) and the wind ends up curling back on itself...  Basically, it comes off the ocean picking up a tiny amount of moisture, heads inland, heats up, then wraps back around over the ocean, hot air can hold more moisture then the cold air that normally comes from the north pacific, so it picks up more moisture from the ocean and cycles back inland and it does this a few times then gets real close to the ground because it's heavy with moisture and cools off and gets trapped under the lighter hotter air still circulating, and we end up with a marine layer (and the clouds that form because of it) that can linger on for days to months if the right conditions persist.  These high winds actually prevent that from happening so we end up with a good amount of sunny weather for a while because of it.

See Catalina eddy for an intro into what the hell I'm talking about.

For us Angelinos, this is typical yearly weather, nothing extreme about it.  We have a quick traditional Spring with a few rain storms maybe, then some May gray - June gloom - July morning cloudiness, a sometimes brutal Summer for August and September, followed up by Santa Ana wind fueled fire season (September/October/November) where the hillsides all usually burn, then around late November we end the fire season with a few more rainstorms and transition into a more typical Autumn with chilly weather that makes you at least think about taking a jacket or sweater with you when you go out that lasts through to around March where we jump right back into Spring and to our present situation all over again.

Statistically Yuma is the sunniest place in America with 242 days of sun a year. Phoenix is second with 211. LA is 10th with 186 days.

That is some impressive weather there Stant. I had never heard of a marine layer. Sounds like there would be a heaviness in not only your clouds but your whole atmosphere.  Must be fab when it leaves.

Winter here is emperor season and very seldom kind. Skidoo suits are the norm. Or big parkas. 3/4 of our four seasons actually. Summertime is the extreme opposite. 50-c or 50c Thank goodness these temps don't last to long. Usually....

Floods coming. Used to be flood areas got diked, now there are way to many areas to protect. Just one as far as the eye can see of lake. Cottages gone forever.  8C x_x

Just think this is so funny.  LOL
