current state of Demigod - Feedback

Hi Demigod users, I purchased this game back in the first few weeks of beta and played for the first few months. I quickly lost interest due to bugs / no matchmaking / connection issues, ect

 

I am now fully addicted to HoN(Heroes of Newerth) but I was thinking about giving this game another shot. I was just wondering if some of the more experienced players could give me their opinion on the current state of Demigod compared to the first few months of beta release and most importantly how is the player base doing?

 

Any info would be appreciated.

Well. Connection issues are largely out of the window, and we have a relatively small(to HoN's) but stable playerbase and most of us experienced players know each other which really gives a feel of bonding. 

Also in contrast to HoN skillbuilds actually matter and aren't just: take skill A first then take ultimate and skill B, now take stats because skill C sucks.
