I was purusing Deviant Art ( a site that is quickly becoming one of my favorite haunts) and found this cool GalCiv2 custom desktop theme from a few years back:

It seems to be a modification of the Sins of a Solar Empire theme from Stardock's MyColors. I have to admit, the guy who did it did a very nice job!

The theme was actually part of the GC2 Collector's Edition goodies (as the poster noted, anyone who bought the game direct could get it).
