Unable to change graphics resolutions using Analog Display connection (VGA)

Hi, I'm curious if folks out there are running into this problem.

As I take my pc from place to place, I have displays that I use at that location. Now, some of my LCD's are still DB-15 VGA connectors as they are inexpensive. As of the past few patches, I have noticed that when I use SoSE Entrenchment, I have no options to change the refresh rate. They're gone completely. If I change resolutions, the "apply" button is not even available.

Lets churn things up a bit more. Same card, same PC, except I am at home and I use my 22.5" Samsung. It has both DVI-D and VGA ports. I use the DVI-D cable, and I am able to change all of the settings and apply them properly. Same monitor, but using the VGA cable instead, produces the uncontrolable graphics settings.

I have changed the DVI-D to VGA adapters, changed the graphics driver, changed the cable, tested this on an ATI based card. The results are the same.

Something is broken, badly, and running the game perma-windowed at 1024x768 on a 1280x1024 native LCD is quite anoying.

Here is the list of my gear. If you need more info, please reply.

As if someone, somewhere out there, heard my plea. It has been magically fixed. Now to figure out what I did so that I can get the other machines working.

I'm having the EXACT same problem, I use a CRT monitor though. You had any headway at all? because I'm up shit creek without a paddle on this one. I've been trying all sorts of things to no avail and it is REALLY starting to but my chops because this makes no sense as to what the hell the problem is...

:annoyed:

Also, I'm convinced its not hardware or driver related as Sins is THE only program/game that has this issue.

One more thing, does Iron Clad have a proper tech support centre that can be contacted via phone?

Something has definately broken since the last patch.

My vertical resolution is ideal at 720 lines.  There are no longer any such choices in the game's settings.  I can edit the user settings; but the world and hud still draw at a 4:3 aspect ratio.

I also have an analogue video connection.
