Enough fanbase left for team games?

Thinking about thinking of joining a team :)

Decided to join a team, but I'm despairing that DG is on the way down and it's not worth it.  The player base is low and games are hard to come by.

Kills me!  This game is great, the graphics, sound, balance.. it's all well done.  Other games are ugly, confusing, and look like Nintendo, maybe Super Nintendo graphics.

Is it worth it?  I joined "This armor itches", which claimed a big, casual DG gamer base, but there are 0 people playing it usually, then there is 1 guy, but he's just playing for 20 minutes, etc.

lol.

Well it depends on the hour, they're certainly enough players to play games with but sometimes I've seen that on the odd hours filling up a game quickly can sometimes be hard. It's usually not because they're not enough players though, its mostly because not eveyonre likes the same game(map, pub or not, competetive etc). The majority of my games fill up in 5-10min.

Ok, I'll give it another try, but the first month I logged onto xfire was Atlantica and other games, nobody for DG.  Was one guy on DG sometimes, but he never wanted to play anything but pantheon.

The best way to go is to talk to your team mates in Pug games, friend them, and ask them to play with you when they're on.  Pacov also runs balanced vent server games, where you can meet some great players to play with in some competitive matches.  Personally, I'm a big fan of playing with a small group on vent.  I try and invite people whenever I can.  We're usually a friendly bunch, although drunk and disorderly sometimes (hedgie can attest).

Best of luck finding a play group - we are out there!

Yeah, but I'm not sure we'll be able to get games anymore Futile.

We'll be okay, worst case we'll start 1v2ing Tim.  Enough drinks and it should be an even match!

Saw you hosting a game today, but you weren't on XFire X_x or, if you were, you don't use the same screen name. Though no one in the (dead) clan was on Demigod at all either so... hm..
