Favor item stats need changing

for example;
- staff of renewal - 1100 gold - +200health +175mana -20% cooldown
- diamond pendant - 1250 gold - +250mana -10% cooldown

Which one would you go for?
obviously, if you had to choose out of either one, ud go for staff of renewal (if ur an assassin of course). But, then why should generals be at a disadvantage?

I dont think prices match their effectiveness.

Also, theres a lot more favor items that enhance stats related to health, than there are ones that enhance stats related to mana. The few that do have mana enhancement are upon activation to recieve some sort of effect. None are actually passive (apart from Essense of magic and Cloak of night).

I also find that alot of players choose swift anklet over any other item. Reason why is because, you can catch and kill fleeing enemies and flee from battle with a higher chance of living. Which gives a very big advantage to the player over another player that uses an item that increases max health and health regen.

A suggestion - to even out favor item but it will need a lot of thought and a massive overhaul, would be to change all costs of each favor item to the same price and try balance out the effectiveness of each. This will have to happen over time though through trial and error.

A suggestion for wings of the seraphim - maybe change it so that the effect stops when you use a skill.

People who take the anklet are going to die if they get stunned/slowed since they are missing out on the +800 HP from Blood of the Fallen.

I take health stacking over everything else, if you get stunned and focus fired upon, nothing else will save you. Not dying is important to me.

Well Staff of Renewal is an assassin's only favor item while diamond pendant is a normal favor item. Thats one reason I see it being there like that. But I agree that Diamond Pendant is a bit on the weak side for that price.

Naw maybe add more and make some more expensive ones, but the favor items reward people for their efforts and add alot of uniqueness or helpe a certain build out or something, I really like the favor items and dont wanna see anything really toned down, maybe just some beefier general ones and better bottom tier normal ones, and maybe some things with different procs like a chain lightning for assasins, just to add flavor imo.

Thing is, only about 5 or 6 favor items are even worth considering, and that's DG type independant. If you are talking generals... you've got maybe.. 3? 4?

The longer I play, the more the list narrows.  At least I've recently discovered cloak of the night to be another 'good' item.

I disagree with the examples that you chose to illustrate the problem but I do agree with this suggestion.  I think we can all agree that there are quite a few favor items that see little to no use and could stand a good look.

I'm of the mind that no favor item should be outright 'better' than another one (which is essentially how a higher cost would be justified) but opinions on that front will naturally vary.

An idea - what if there were demigod specific favor items. As well as the generic and class (assassin/general) specific favor items, have another tab that is specific to THAT demigod.

These items could enhance a certain skills effectiveness. For example;

- UB - [item]Resistant heart - When you stop ooze you gain 25 health each sec for 5 secs. Effect wears off when you start ooze again.

- Reg - [item] - If you hit an opponent with snipe that exceeds your snipe rage, you do a critical hit and that target moves 30% slower for 4 secs.

bad examples but hopefully you get the concept behind the effects im trying to portray for these items.
