GPG: LIST OF BUGS IN HERE - JUNE 16th, 2009

Ok.. I am posting a list of bugs.  Please add any of your own:

 

1.  Bug: Sound from the previous game keeps looping in the background (even if you restart another game)

Basically when you finish a game you press the icon to take you to the lobby.. you will keep hearing the previous sound.  The only way to stop this is to exit out of the game completely and log back in.

 

2. Graphic Glitch - Every so often (This has happened to me in Cataract) the whole map of Cataract will look obscure.  Almost as if it is night time (it doesn't look as bright as the daylight).  Next time this happens to me I will post a picture.  I have a 4870 ATI card.

 

3. Dropping a mana giving item when your MP is lower than the mana giving item will give you full MP.  This one is game breaking. 

 

4. There are still times when you ask your demigod to perform an action and the demigod just sits there.  You have to keep clicking until action starts.  I am not sure as to what conditions causes this.

 

5. In Cataract, it is possible to take the flag on the top left without the towers hitting you (Bad bad bug) - It is also possible to destroy the middle right tower as TB fire without getting hit.  

 

6.  Regulus should not be able to destroy towers at a range without getting hit imho.  The towers fall too quickly even with regen.  Regulus mines should be just that, mines, not granades you launch at people's feet and not give you a chance to avoid them (regardless of what you do)

That is all I have now until I can think of some more.  If the community keeps posting them here.. I will grab their bugs and compile a list.

I also have all of these bugs. I dont use the mana exploit, though. I also own an ATI 3850 card. Could be something to do with it?

Path finding in general is one of the buggiest things in the game, one of the worst bugs related to it is that my minions often end up walking outside the map and then are stuck floating in the air (no not spirits) and a lot of the time I can't get them to come back, so now my minions are stuck outside the map until something ranged kills them. They also get stuck on invisible corners, invisible boxes around buildings that they cannot escape from, they run in circles trying to move around ally creeps etc. A lot of these apply to Demigods too...

  1. I have occasionally respawned as rook on cataract, in the far left position, and been unable to move from the spot for a few seconds (he'd squirm around like he couldn't path out of the corner).  I think his model is too big and overlaps 'outside' the arena.
  2. Twice while attempting to use a sludgeslinger an an opponent just out of the items range, I was unable to control my character. My character moved towards the target, the target kept moving away.  As soon as I reach the point the target was at, my character would no longer respond to move commands.
  3. Deep Freeze and Muddle either have the most unrepresentative tool tips ever, or simply don't work.  As it is, the cooldown amount increases for abilities currently cooling down, but goes back after the 'deep freeze' duration is at an end. This basically prevents the abilities from warming up, but the amount of cooldown added to the ability is completely immaterial, whereas the duration of the effect is not.
  4. Using an interrupt on a stunned character ends the stun.  Can be really frustrating when you accidentally penitence someone your rook was about to slam. My theory is that interrupts are similar to stuns, and trigger some 'start stun' 'end stun' effect combination, which also ends the existing stun.  Stunned targets should not suffer the interrupt effect, but take the damage as normal.
  5. I have no idea why, but sometimes abilities with fixed damages do slightly more or slightly less damage.  For instance, rain of Ice at level 1 sometimes does 197 damage, and sometimes does 206.  No penitence, or debilitating flags seem to be in effect, yet the numbers oddly varry.
  6. Health gained from lifesteal is based off the total damage of your attacks, without factoring armor.  Meaning that you heal noticebly more othan the percentages listed, especially near the end of the game.
  7. Rook cannot build towers at his feet sometimes. Not sure if there is a weird overlap problem, but you will try to build the tower and get an 'aborted' message.   I think this happens because he needs to move away from the targeted spot to put the tower down, and the auto issued move command aborts the tower placement command.
  8. Hungarling's Crown has a tooltip in your inventory that doesn't match the tooltip of the buff it gives you (25% vs 35%).
  9. Plate Visor causes rifts in the space/time matrix due to its crappenis, and may cause the world to implode. Fix ASAP. Do it for the children.

Actually.. you bring a really good bug to the table. The deep freeze bug.  The timer down on a skill cooldown is not the actual time for the skill to be used again once you deep freeze someone.

#2 happens to me frequently, usually happens on the next game started after an alt tab. It's basically as if a layer of light is missing. Map is very dark as if it is night, glows and auras appear (on towers/units) but its as if someone flipped off the light switch.

I am running an Nvidia 9800 GTX+

You can also add the "Unhandled Exception error" you get when

1. Another person joins your game which cannot connect to you and

2.  You are in the middle of the game and all of the sudden it happens (I don't think it is random.. something is kicking in that activates the error message)
