had this happen yesterday 1 of the winning team went afk and he was the key member. they were already at our citadel and were all 3-6 lvls higher then us and lots more gold and 10 warscore to our 5, in short they had already won but now they couldnt end it they tried and just gave us gold which made it even more impossible. wasted a good 30min of time were my team was lost

Hmm, yeah clearly you suck if you can't win vs more players than your side has. You should be able to solo up to 4 others, so obviously you're doing something wrong.

Right. I agree that an auto-kick would be a great feature, I've had the same thing happen to me and it really does wreck the match.

RL > computer games. Face it.

Then quit.  Seriously.  At least the AI will cap flags or bait them into chasing their shiny gold filled corpse.  I've won with AIs.  I don't think I could ever win with an afker.

To quote others - "this isn't Dota."  In Demigod it is very difficult to get to a point where 1 hero can beat 2 or more at a time.  In an unfair fight even if one team or hero is stronger they'll still lose when outnumbered.  As such, the afker is probably the worst thing that could happen to you.  You lose a sizable portion of the gold income your team was getting and now you're down a person in the flag cap race (they can easily control everything now).  Plus you're always outnumbered.  That's got loss written all over it.

Isn't the other team bad if they can't win with one guy up? According to your logic....  

As some one who played Reign of Chaos DotA for 4 years, and Dota Allstars on the Frozen Throne for 2 years, this game is similar, yet completely different.

In Allstars, it's really not that hard to win 4v5 or 3v4, whereas in RoC Dota it was near impossible.

In Demigod it can be a little of both, depending on when the player leaves the game, if some one leaves before level 4 or at the start of the game in Demigod, it's basically game over.  It makes no sense for people to say you suck at a game when your undermanned, your at a disadvantage, and at the same time, it's not embarassing for a team who has the additonal player to lose.  It all depends on the skill level of other players, for example, when I play with my friends, I think i've lost once, where as when i play with random pubs in this game, I almost always lose because they are so bad, you can't carry in Demigod as much as you can in DotA, and I think that's a godo thing.

Demigod does a good job of mixing individual play with teamwork.

lol.  sorry but ive gone afk in game a couple times, stuff happens irl cant help it.    reason why I dont quit is because I hope I can get back in time so we can still win.      I figure afk 4minutes and coming back is better than having an AI which just ruins the game imo.

But you SAID SOMETHING before you did it, right? (The non-ass way of doing things?  Communication?)
