Why can't I log in?

I've created my Impulse account and I'm using the application but every time I try to sign in on Demigod it says you have entered an invalid username and/or password.  I've tried changing my password and username then logging in and still having the problem.  Anybody know what's going on?  Thanks.

I have the same problem. I emailed Impulse a detailed message about this a few days ago and have not heard back from them. I have been unable to play online since I bought Demigod. I like Stardock, but I am getting a bit upset at the lack of an email response. My username and password work fine to login into Impulse, which is required to type this message on the forums. But, Demigod says I have an invalid username and/or password. I have no idea why. I wish someone from impulse would respond and let me know what to do to fix this issue.

Same problem here. I'm hoping this gets addressed soon; fun game, but that's moot if I can't play it.

 

The odd thing is that I've been playing the game successfully since launch, but after today's update I've been unable to log in.

 

I've only used one e-mail address to purchase the game and to tie to my stardock account, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.

This just started for me. Literally one minute I was logged in and then I got an unhandled exception error, restarted demigod and now it says my username / password is invalid.....I have tried several times with no success!

Try deleting the file 'Games.prefs' which is located here:

YOUR USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod

Then launch Demigod and try to log into multiplayer.

deleting pref doesnt work, still ned help, this happens to me alot, prob cus i can sometimes be impatient and kill the game, but i was playin then 2 sec later, incorrect password, when i can still login to impulse with the same stuff and i have rmbr my pass/name check, had it checked forever

Wow what a crappy game this is. Worst experience ever. This game is all about multiplayer and I can't login = useless game. Its been month since release and still same problem exists.

 

Very disappointed.

Having the same problem here. Deleting game prefs doesn't fix it (though it does get rid of your achievements...)

Same problem and it works on stardock, and obviously it works in impulse

I played the game offline (singleplayer) for a couple weeks before I got internet at home. When I tried to register online, it would not accept my serial number no matter how many times I tried. Then I got an e-mail confirming my registration. OK. Now I can't log on either. Never have been able to play online with Stardock, but them updates sure do come through. I guess we'll just have to wait 'til they get through processing their bank statements and get to giving us what we paid for.

It's no longer a concrete jungle we live in, it's a GUI jungle.

As stated above:

Then launch Demigod and try to log into multiplayer.

if you have done this, please note it in your post and we will check the account on our end.

UPDATE: I have been able to log into the game finally.  From another post a support person suggested reinstalling the Impulse client from this link and that seemed to do the trick:

By the way, the game has never crashed for me, I have never been able to log in to multiplayer even one time.  I have only played single player (with no crashes).

Well. I know its 2 months after this thread was created, and thats depressing. Because I just purchased Demigod today and registered my account and verified it and all that jazz. 3 hours later. I still cant log into multiplayer.... This is not a good beginning....

 

For the record I have tried deleting the GAMES.pref file, and changing my password, and changing my demigod profile to something thats not my impulse userID.

thenoose:  e-mail support@stardock.com.  It may be that there are issues with your account that need to be addressed.

i have the same problem as all of you. as far as i can tell the version 1.10 update makes us incapable of logging in. i have tried games radar but everyone there is still version 0.91. please, please, please fix!!!
