Warlords Battlecry 3 Problem

Hey, I just purchased Warlords Batllecry 3 over impulse, and I'm having some problems. It seems that all random sripts in the game are messed up. Every "random" item is the same. Every shop sells the same item no matter what. Every "random" quest is the same, your spells allways fail unless you have 100% to cast (example - a spell with a 95% chance to cast will always fail). ect...

-I know this isn't an inate problem with the game as I played it a long time ago. After searching the web a little I found out this is a fairly common problem with the downloaded version of the game (Most of the other examples I found of people who had the same problem got the game from gamestop.com *the downloadable version). If someone could tell me how to fix it that would be great.

Does a fresh install work? I haven't tried it yet because it seems like a longshot. It seems more likely that an install file with the correct seeds for random generation is missing or currupt. A few site I saw suggest to download the bittorrent to get the correct file, but I'm not sure how comfortable I feel doing that. I hope there is an easy solution.

I'm not sure but I think I remember reading something about this a little while back. I think it had something to do with playing it on Vista. I'm not sure about that but it might be worth looking into.

I'm on xp, so I don't think that's it. I sent a ticket into stardock support, so I'll post here if they figure anything out.

Hehe I loved this game they need to come out with another one. I do recall some folks having same problem you did and there was a solution. Hope yah got it worked out
