Fun with misspelling civ names

from GalCiv2 Forums

Two questions:

1) Did/do you ever consistently misspell a civ name?

2) What's your favorite regular misspelling you see around the forums?

My replies:

1) Typing-wise, I *still* seem to want the Altarians to be from Altair (a real star name). The Drengin were also Dregnin to me for too long.

2) My favorite civ to play is the Thalans, and I get a regular chuckle when folks make them extra-alien by typing Thalian.

YOR to me is a true coloring sequence; Yellow, Orange, Red -- terraforming cycle coincidence?!

And, why is it that every time i open a wine bottle i feel like i'm pulling off a Korx' head?!

But, the most unusual fact i've experienced while playing is this;

"We are the Snathi, we are what would you call Evil!"

I sometimes type Altarians as Alterians for some reason. and until I heard the Drengin name pronounced I though it had a hard G(if you get what I mean) in it :grin:
