Entrenchment beta crash

Seems like this is a really common problem.

Mine worked fine for about 2 hours then minidumped though. So there might be a couple issues out there.

Check your video card drivers, are they full updated?

The drivers for my video card should be fine.  It's just odd that it seems to happen almost exactly 10 minutes into a game each time.  As long as it gets fixed at some point, that's all that counts.  Although it is a bit frustrating that I can't play long enough to try out any of the new toys. 

i've had the same problem as Tkins. just crashed a few minutes ago

I had (or maybe still have) this problem,  I just played two short single player games and no crashes.  This is what I did (seems to be working).  I have COMODO firewall software running.  When I turned it off, the game did not crash, I just finished a game with COMODO in training mode and the game did not crash.  I fired up another game with the firewall on and played for 45 minutes and no crashes.

I guess what I'm saying is check out your firewalls, try and disable them and see what happens.

I had the 10mins problem because of my atidrivers. i had used the 8.12 betadriver. After installing the real 8.12 driver all runs fine...

Just reinstalled my drivers.  Running the 8.12 driver as well, and I'm still crashing 10 minutes into the game.

I have all the newest drivers.... I have a game save that reproduces a minidump everytime you click on squadron management....

It's a known issue that if you have a mixed Advent fleet and you researched the ability for the drone hosts to create the mobile mine squads, clicking the squad button crashes the game.

For now, don't use a mixed selection - it will work fine if it's just the carrier cruisers selected when you click on squad management.

having the same problem with the 10 min crashes, but now i cant even load my save ever since i started building my first tec starbase

Hate to add to the pile-on, but same here.  I am running the most recent ATI vid drivers and even dropped my resolution to see if that is an issue.  I end up crashing within the first 5-10 minutes of any game or save I hop into.  I have turned my firewall and antivirus off and there is no difference.

Running out of ideas...

Same problem here, 10 minutes into game mini dump crash, updated to latest ati drivers, reinstalled sins and entrenchment. Same problem.

I'm wondering if this is only happening to those of us running ATI cards, or are folks with Nvidia having the problem as well?

The game crashed and i wasnt doing nothing at all

started a new game, but had some other stuff to do, so I clicked the "menu" botton and left the game in the menu.

an hour later when I returned the game had crashed and there was a minidump

by the way, sin gets unresponsive, I have to kill the application

I'm running ATI but like I said I didn't get it for about 2 hours. I played last night for a good hour and had no issues so It'll take more testing.

i have a Nvidia card and i can't even load entrenchment. If i install regular sins it works great but when i install entrenchment neither regular sins nor entrenchment works. It just crashes as soon as i try to load it. all drivers are up to date and, tried disabling firewall and antivirus.

Please try turning down your texture quality settings.

Sounds like you had a MOD set to load at startup in SINS. You need to remove the MOD from startup and it will stop crashing.

Yep, success for me as well.  Set the planet detail to low, ship bump to low, and structure bump to low.  Thanks again Craig.

only the Ship bump  needs to be lowered. no crashes from low - high. its from Highest that i get crashes.

I get a slightly different problem.  If I try to exit a single player game the game crashes.  Multiplayers crashes after acouple of hours but i only had 2 games in Multiplayer.

I never had any consistent crashes before Entrenchment.

Doesn't even finish loading before it has to mini-dump.
