Question about TA and DA before buying later this year

I was thinking about getting TA and DA to expound upon DL. Now, my question to you guys who own both is:

Do the features of DA go into TA too? What I mean is, all the features in DA, do they become cumulative and go into TA, or do I have to play DA separately than TA to get some different features (like the spore ships I have heard of)

They are cumulative.

Some buildings may work differently though between versions.  The main one I can think of is the Mind Control Center, available after getting a tech after choosing Evil from Xeno Ethics.  In DA it gives a 100% boost to your empire's economy while making it about 3x harder to flip planets via influence.  In TA it makes opponent's planets that have the skull & crossbones on them, flip to you the following turn.

Do note that it's a racial bonus, not a modifier.  So it's essentially equivalent to two and a half economy mining starbases-not twice as much.

But it's still damn good-and in fact I would say the TA version is more useful.

That could be argued.  For people trying to maximize econ scores, the DA version is top dog.  However, the TA version really cuts down the number of transports you need during a war if you plan it right.

It's also a bug. An old and oft-overlooked one, but a bug nonetheless. The TA behavior is what was intended all along.

A bug I thought I heard was to be fixed in Da's 2.0 update..../shrug.
