Twilight of the Arnor Gets Editors Choice at GameZone

The latest review of Gal Civ II: Twilight of the Arnor comes from GameZone.com.  Anise Hollingshead gives ToA a great review and really focuses on some of the new improvements, specifically the tech tree. 

"Player customization is always a large part of Galactic Civilization, and now there are even more ways for players to tweak the gameplay. New editors allow for customization of the technical trees, scenarios, improvements and more, for a total of six editors. Players can access these new features by choosing to design a new race when beginning a new game in the sandbox mode."

Twilight gets a 9 out of 10, and even gets the Editors Choice award from GameZone.  Be sure to check out the full review here.

Two things stood out for me on this one:
I first encountered Galactic Civilizations with the release of Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar expansion. I’m normally not a big fan of space games, preferring fantasy themes, but this game really captured my attention.


Then she ended up saying

This game just became elevated to my personal list of all-time PC favorites

Such public changes of perception from a Reviewer are rare, too many think they are "perfect".

The second and biggest thing that just elevated GameZone in my mind to one I'll look at again in future .....

Not one whinge or bleat about no multiplayer! Yay - Anise for President :CONGRAT:

She must have just known it was a dead-horse subject and didn't want to go there and seem to be a whiner (sorry pro-multiplayer crowd).

I'll be purchasing Twilight in the next month of so. I've been scrambling for money for the last half year, but I'll FINALLY be able to complete my Galactic Civilizations II collection and play with the marvelous new tools. This will be the first game purchase I've made for half a year now. :)

Oh boy, I can't wait to sit down and relax into a nice universe of conquest. It'll be a nice vacation from the rest of the things I've been dealing with.
