For those of you interested in the aggregated review scene for Sins the current listing on the apparent difinative site for such things is...

[Wait for it]

Not bad indeed for less then a month on the market. It also appears to be moving up as well. With only four (4) more points it gets into the all-time high list of the top 20 PC games ever. If it can get eight (8) more points it will become the #1 best PC game ever for such a listing!

Unfortunately since it's a weighted average, it'll take a LOT of above-average reviews to do that. Hopefully we can get a bump up to 90 at least, though.

I expect so given that the jump from #1 (81 reviews) to number #3 (31 reviews) is a huge drop. The #2 title is a statistical fluke with only five (5) reviews. Granted the chances of getting number #1 are very difficult but not impossible. Getting #2 or #3 is very possible.

If I was doing PR for you guys, I would make it a point to have one of your staff go down the list of reported reviewers for #1 and cross reference it with all the top twenty titles to develop a comprehensive reported critics list and contact everyone on the list. This may garner you more then 81 reviews and tactically ensure your position at number one if the reviews are sufficiently high enough.

On a side note, if you dont have the staff time available then consider getting a few of the Gamma boys to divide up the list and contact them for you since the NDA are still in effect (from what I understand) with a forum letter of sorts. Food for thought...

Don't worry we have sent out hundreds of review copies. We're pretty experienced in that area.

Incidentally, you'd have to get a lot of 10/10's to get to be #1 btw and that's not likely. The score is an average. It has nothing to do with the # of total reviews.

Here's Dark Avatar's page: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/galacticcivilizations2darkavatar?q=Galactic%20Civilizations

And GalCiv II: Dread Lords:

If it weren't for the PC Zone UK review on GalCiv II (which was a total half-assed hatchet job written by someone who clearly hadn't played GalCiv II for more than an hour or so), its overall rating would have been somewhat higher.

Damn. So close that really blows. GC2 should be much higher. No wonder EA hates MetaCritic. Well I'll keep trying to spread the word whenever possible. GC2 deserves way more respect then 49 and below.

While I am not a fan of GC or GC2...49?.....*shakes head* GC2 is way better than that(just not my cup of tea).
