just got back into the game, have a couple of ?'s

I've owned the game pretty much since it's come out but just haven't been able to get into it much, even though i've wanted to. Now i'm finally coming around back into it and I could use some information.

first is there a manual you can download for it. I haven't found one and I'd like to be able to understand the finer points of the game. e.g.: effect of population, approval rating, things like that.

second is that I wasn't able to find *clearly* located strategy guides for the game. This is especially difficult as I still have the original game. I checked a couple of fansites but was unsuccessful there as well. Any help is appreciated.

The primary distribution point for GalCiv2 is now Stardock Central (SDC) so where and how you access some of the stuff depends on if you are using SDC or original boxed installation media.

The official documentation for the game is the pdf manual located in the in GalCiv2 directory. If the game was installed via SDC that would be something like C:\Program Files\Stardock\Total Gaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2Manual.pdf

There are also the in-game tutorials which install with the boxed media, but if using SDC, you need to download and install them.

I've seen lots of posts regarding strategy here, but don't have any handy links for you. Maybe someone else can provide some.
