Any more patches to DL?

I love the original game and I think I will like DA.
I still want to play both. The thing that drives me crazy with
DL is getting stuck with planet improvements that I don't want after taking over another planet--particularly with factory improvements. I think we should be given a chance to reject them. I have to delete them on every planet and it is giving me
carpal tunnel problems--literally.

I know this gets fixed in DA, I guess. But I would still like this fixed in DL.

I often take over enemy planets in DL, and they are stuck on still building their first industrial sectors. I have lots of basic factories and they are pumping out far more than the AI on crippling level.

It could just be me, but why on Earth would you want to? After getting DA I seriously doubt I will ever play DL again, how about anyone else... will you still play both?

There are substantial differences in the game. One of the
biggest is that in DA many planets are not inhabitable until you get
later techs.

Some may prefer the simpler method in DL. Some may like to play both
ways.

Vista, together with nVidia, is boycotting my efforts to play DA, but if I recall correctly you can disable the various planetary environments in the game setup phase and revert to old DL method.

There is no such option, but one could easily mod all races to have the needed techs to colonize all worlds. Note that this comparatively weakens some races, whose super abilities include some of those techs.
