can i use galactopedia?

Hi
I was just looking at the galactopedia download, i wanted to download it to my work computer but it seems like i need galciv to be installed? If that is the case then i cannot read galactopedia while i'm at work?

I wanted to read up on a few details, the omega research centre in particular. I wanted to know if the omega research centre affects all planets or just the one it is built on? It is not apparent in the in game description?

When you open Galactopedia it reads the game files to get it's info, so GC2 has to be installed for it to work. I have always used the Omega research as a planetary bonus, but your right the description is unclear.

Thanks for the reply

I'm not sure of this but i think one time i built the omega research centre over the top of a neutrality learning centre and the planetary research actually decreased (there was no bonus on that square and several other NLC's remained with a tech capital)!?!? is this possible and why?

Omega Research definitely gives a 50% research bonus to the planet that it's on.

By overbuilding a NLC with the omega research building you are losing the value of the NLC plus the 100% bonus that the tech capital gives it, but as long as there were at least 2 NLC's left on the planet it should be a net benefit.

IC thanks,

I did have a large number of starbases with maximum factory modules... how would that affect the situation?
