Somthing i always forget to ask...

Hi

Of the random events that occur at the beginning of a turn, the ones which give you choices... i have always wondered what effects are permanent and what effects are a one off thing? because it never specifies this in the descriptions?

If you are talking about the alignment choices, they are always permanent, but they are restricted to the planet on which they take place (except for the very few that change diplomacy or influence).

So as an example - (this following event i think is old?) 'save the lives of the moon colony' which costs say 400bc, i would have thought was a one off expense? However, it does not specify in the event description that it is a one off expense, so i cannot assume anything?

What about the event that causes an increase in interest rates? I assume this effects what you pay back if you use the contractors to buy stuff? and i assume this is a permanent thing? However, none of this is mentioned in the event description, so once again i cannot asume anything?

Thank God at least the UP enactments actually bother telling you how long they last, or are they permament.
