Remember that song we all love to sing, at least most of us, On the First day of Christmas, well, it seems that just even the cost of having those 'Ladies dancing' have gone up.
Yep, that list is not so bad really, it's actually quite a Christmas list if you ever think about it. Wouldn't that be something else if you could afford it and tried to give someone everything on 'that' list?! Seriously though, there's no way I would want everything on that list if I could afford it all. There are more interesting things out there to find than trying to look for 'seven Geese a Laying'!
I read this article on MSN Money on msn.com today. It's an annual tradition for PNC Wealth Management to tabulate the true cost of Christmas. This year's Index indicated that the price of Christmas has jumped from last year's cost to 3.1% more this year! That might not sound like a lot to some folks, but to others who might be thinking about actually buying a pear tree, the cost of those having gone up by 44%, hey, that's a lot of dough!
Here's what's on the list :
One partridge Cost $15 in 2005 Current cost is still $15
Pear tree Cost $89.99 in 2005 Current cost is $129.99 that's a 44.40% increase!
Two turtle doves Cost $40 in 2005 Current cost is $40 no change here
Four calling birds Cost $399.96 in 2005 Current cost is $479.96 that's a 20.00% hike!
