Further ideas

One of the issues I noticed when playing the beta is that despite all the information some of the data I want is not readily or easily available.

For example in a game last night Bush controlled California with 50% to my 34%. I needed that state and decided that I would throw everything at it. I could see that Bush had 2 newspaper ads and 1 radio add. I could see Bush has a level 2 HQ. What I really needed to see was how all these affected the voting change each turn. I wnted to know how many ads, campaigning, visits I needed to win this state over 10 weeks and just couldn't find out. In the end I build 2 TV ads, 2 operatives and just kept visiting and campaigning.

What I would like to see when I click on a state it shows you

- change in awareness last turn
- change in voting % last turn

At least the you can gauge how things are changing and what you need to do.

We actually just started working on some new screens that should help out with this problem. First, an improved "State Details" will show how a your position in a state is being effected by Ads, Campaigns, and your National Position. This way, you should be able to see how your opponent is winning a state, then counter it effectivly.

Second, a graphs screen will show you ongoing charts of all the information you would need to see throughtout the course of a game. By noting trends in certain issues or awareness levels, grasping the 'big picture' should be much easier, and roads to victory made clearer

These should be in by the next beta build.
