GC2 Succession Games?

I don't remember seeing any of these on the forums, and yet I love reading about Civ succession games. Although I lack the time and skill to play one, I think some of you guys should get together and do one.

What's one of those? Do you pass the savegame around or something after a set period of time?

Yep you give your savegame to your successor, I'm wondering if the ship designs are kept with or if you have to send them too...

You'd have to zip up the savegame with the .xml custom ship definition files. Otherwise, the components end up in screwy locations.
