Evil Civ Tribute

when I saw that in the most recent version of the game, evil civs gather a tribute of 1bc/week on all trade routes crossing their territories, I was so happy. Finally, a way to be truly evil >

So now, I send constructor to build influence starbases at the crossroad of many trade routes all around the galaxy, and I fortify them so no rogue warship can clean them up. Sadly, the 1bc/week is not what will make me rich...

However, it would be great if there was modules like "Privateers" installable on military starbases. "Trade routes within the starbase's range has to pay 1bc/week". Off course, more modules could be added, and eventually, it could become like 4-5 bc/weeks. It would be a great way for evil civs to piss off the other without using too much violence.

I guess it's a "no-go" idea

Well jeez, ideas aren't added into the game in 24 hours!

I wasn't talking about the speed of implimentation into the game, but rather a discussion over what should/could and shouldn't/couldn't be done.

Starbases modules made to increase the tributes paid by crossing trade routes wouldn'T be that hard to mod.. (I think). The post was mainly to ask the opinion of someone qualified (modder or dev)

It's a cool idea, I suppose. The trouble is that dozens of ideas get posted every week (often the same ones over and over), but implimenting any of them would require a lot of time and effort, especially and particularly with respect to the AI. I've posted my own little wish-list suggestions concerning ship upgrading, come to that.
