GC2 v1.3 beta patch is available on SDC

The first beta of patch 1.3 appears to be up on SDC as of an hour ago.

Notice: This is a beta patch. Do not download it if you are not willing to deal with any new issues that may have arisen!

edit by Cari: If you are using language settings other than English (US), you may see odd planet surfaces/textures and missing jewelry on some of the pre-canned ships. Changing your language settings to English (US) from Regional and Language settings in Control Panel should fix this until I can figure out how to do it in code.

He means bugs. If you don't want bugs, don't download it. If you do, don't complain. If you must, suggest a fix. If you do, don't just say "fix it". Questions as to whether multiplayer is in 1.3 will be met with a wokking

Since this is a bug fix beta, there shouldn't be too many bugs.

But remember, for the priviledge of playing the latest and greatest version, you check your whining at the door. If you find a problem, bring it to the developers attention, and be glad you could it, because you are helping to improve the game.

It won't showup in SDC until you select "Show Beta/Pre-release versions" in the menu, then just refresh the versions and it should show up asking you if you want to upgrade.

sorry , I didn't mean to be rude , i know i can have it with stardock Central but was just wondering why it wasn't here on that web site , Is it because it's a beta version and not an offical one ?

We don't put beta versions up on the website because it's too much of a hassle and we don't want people download it by mistake.

Last night I noticed that the time line at the bottom of the screen when you have nothing selected is corrupted on the right 1/4 of the line in 1.3. I have a Radeon 9700 Pro with current drivers.

Beta 3.19 had my 2 opponents building about 1 factory per planet, and not upgrading it to boot. I just got 3.2 so I'll see how that goes. The other game was on gigantic, so maybe the game just can't take it. I DID have that extra resources for AI checked (AI can think longer), but I don't know if it actually took any longer. Just reporting what I noticed. Thanks for the patches and betas.
