Unable to play

Hi there, I am again having problems trying to play this game and was wondering if anyone could help me. I recently upgraded my computer, and as a result had to re-install Galciv2. I can play the original non-updated game, however as soon as I update the game I get the following message when i try to launch the game: 'The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the machine SID don't match.' What is the machine SID and can anyone offer a solution? Many thanks.

Weird...I would contact support@stardock.com and ask them to help you out (unfortunatly the game team dosen't have much control over the validation system).

Hope they can help!

Citizen Johnny, There should be a file sig.bin in your Galciv2 directory. Rename it. Goto Stardock Central Goto Galvic2 Rightclick and choose activate without logging (or something alike) Now your game should start properly
