Uninstalled demo. Now everything is a mess

I installed the demo, and purchased and installed the game shortly thereafter. I uninstalled the demo today and the game no longer worked. I downloaded and installed it again, and it does launch, but many of the text items on the buttons and picklist selections are missing. How do I get a completely clean uninstall? It seems to leave bits of the game all over the place.

I ended up uninstalling SDCentral all together, deleting any files left behind, and downloading again. The problem still existed after the reinstall, but the game locked up shortly after starting it. A hard boot, and now the text is there

I guess I'm good now.

I ended up deleting all files in the C:/programs /stardock/galciv2 folder as well as those in C;/my documents /my games/galciv2 folder to get a clean install.

I then reinstalled from CD and SDC
